Rubber Press Roll  is more important to provide good elasticity and ease the pressing effect of the upper press roll on the wet paper and felt, thereby prolonging the service life of the felt and reducing the "compression" of the wet paper.
The elastic encapsulated lower roller can also give the two rollers good contact and uniform dehydration effects, and compensate for the high error of the lower pressure roller.
The rubber hardness of the rubber roller in the production of general paper is usually 70 to 90 Shore hardness. Rubber rollers used for each press in the press section.
Groove Rubber Press Roll Compared with the ordinary press, the grooved press is easy to dehydrate, the linear pressure is lower and the thickness of the rubber layer is increased. Therefore, the middle height of the roller can be reduced to avoid the high and uneven water content on both sides of the paper, resulting in the ribbed channel. When pressing, the direction of the blanket and wet paper is also important. At the press outlet, the wet paper should be separated from the blanket as soon as possible, and the blanket should also be separated from the grooved roller as soon as possible, so as to avoid moisture returning to the blanket and the wet paper sheet. During operation, it is necessary to keep the groove of the groove press clean to prevent blocking and pay attention to the drainage of water in the groove. Also, the grooved roller needs to be equipped with a soft doctor blade to remove the high-pressure water from the groove to the roll surface.

Jumbo Press roll usually refers to a nip composed of pressing rollers which a diameter of more than 1000mm. It is often used in the production of corrugated paper, cardboard, and other paper or cardboard with large basis weight.
Compared with ordinary presses, it has a wide nip formed by the large-spoke press, the paper sheet can be pressed for a long time in the nip. It can improve the dehydration efficiency, increases the de-watering capacity and paper quantity because of the two-way vertical dehydration design.At the same time, it can also reduce steam consumption in the dryer section and further reduces production costs. The strength and burst resistance of the paper also been improved.
Normally, the paper machine adopts this technology has the feature of high speed, low energy consumption, and good paper quality. Therefore, jumbo pressing technology and equipment have become the first choice in the speed-up and energy-saving of old paper machines and the design of new paper machines.

The blind hole press roll is covered with rubber or polyurethane on the roller surface. Surface hardness around 70-90 shore. A blind hole with a diameter of 2 mm and a depth of 12-15 mm was drilled on the rubber-coated surface. It can also drill two rows of blind holes with different depths and depths. The opening rate of the blind hole roller is about 25% - 30%, and its eyehole volume is about 5 times larger than that of the grooved roller, so it can accommodate more press water. Surface rubber or polyurethane can reduce the wear of the felt, and provide a wider pressing area, which is beneficial to increase the linear pressure in the pressing zone.

Vacuum suction press roll is mostly used in medium and high speed paper machines.
The function of the vacuum chamber is only to suck the air in the shell holes. The thicker the roll shell, the more air volume is sucked. Therefore, the use of high-strength metal to make a vacuum suction press roll with a thin roll shell is beneficial to improve the efficiency of press dehydration. The vacuum pressure roller shell is covered with rubber with a thickness of 30-40mm. The advantage of encapsulation is to make the pressure distribution uniform, reduce the abrasion of the felt, and increase the pressure of the press line. Production practice shows that the axial and circumferential center distance of the holes on the vacuum pressure roller is smaller, and the number of holes is larger, which can significantly improve the dehydration effect of the vacuum pressure roller, thereby effectively eliminating the embossing phenomenon and extending the service life of the felt.
